Originally built in 1917 and the first fully air-conditioned hotel in the United States, The Renaissance St. Louis Grand was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The nearly 1,000 room hotel, the largest of its kind in the area underwent a large-scale renovation which involved Hoch Associates in the 2000's. This multi-year project renovated the entire 38 story structure, where Hoch provided engineering services that contributed to the ornamental architectural precast design.
